It has been a very wet rainy season here; so much rain on the ground, we even had flooding in many places. So, every tree, planted in this tropical terrains had abundance to blossom. Still, on the SAME TREE, some branches are dry and grey, bearing no leaves or fruits while the others are green, with lush leaves and beautiful fruits. One starts to wonder what could be the cause.

This got me thinking the words of the Bible where Jesus said:

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”
John 15:5‭-‬8 NKJV

It is vital that we understand that without Christ we can do nothing. Being at the ‘top’ is not the ultimate, bearing abiding fruits at the top is the REAL DEAL…(the topmost branch in this tree in the picture is dry and fruitless.) Being TRULY connected to the GOD is how to sustain fruitfulness and freshness. Please stay connected to the LORD.

Finally, fruitfulness is how we remain a disciple. You are not a follower of Christ if you don’t bear fruits, your fruits are sour or your fruits do not abide. Bear good fruit!

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” Psalm1:3
